gautamallahbadia - January 2

My dreams are shattered, rotunda and dr gautam allahbadia are a scam operation Honestly, I dont know what to make of the whole experience I was extremely disapointed and heartbroken with Rotunda. I am a healthy man who went in for a gestational surrogacy (my sperm, with healthy egg donor and healthy surrogate) and was told at the beginning that if the process was unsuccessful, that I would have the opportunity to try again for a small fee. The fine print that they did not share was that if I reached a certain number of weeks and the baby had an independent heartbeat, that I would recieve almost NO discount on a second try if the pregnancy was unsuccessful. They made sure they had FULL payment before that date arrived and then announced that the pregnancy was failed and would have to be aborted for the safety of the mother (surrogate). I had spent $25K, and I was offered no refund and an 8% discount on a second try and was charged $1,200 for the pregnancy termination. I did not have another $23,000 so I walked away extremely upset and burned. I asked about a shared egg harvest on a second try hoping it would be cheaper, and was told there was no discount for that and that is what I had paid for the first time. I went back and reviewed my invoices and there was no references in any email or invoice to the egg harvest being shared. I asked about the other embryos that they had as they had invited me to implant four and I only chose to implant two. They told me the other two werent viable enough to freeze and had been destroyed. Again, no reference in any written communication. Basically, at the beginning, they assured me that a healthy sperm donor had every reason to believe that for $25K he could complete a gestational surrogacy. I thought maybe their costs were really high and that is why they couldnt help me, and so I checked their historical rates, which had risen over 400 percent in six years (since their tv coverage) and realized they were rising far faster than inflation so that wasnt why. I could see no reason why they wouldnt refund my money or work with me on another try other than they were a scam operation. I have no idea if there ever was a pregnancy or just a scam to get my money. Supposing they were telling the truth, they could have made it more clear up front that there was a significant chance I would spend full price and walk away with nothing. They said that a pregnancy termination at ten weeks almost never happens. Well, if it almost never happens, why not give customers a discount on a second try when it does. It just didnt add up. I saved up half a lifetime to do this and have nothing to show for it. Be warned. Oh, and incendentally, the facility is not up to western standards of cleanliness and organization. When I went, they drew my blood sitting on a gurney with a dirty sheet on it that looked like at least fifty people had sat there. Im not squeamish about such things but if you are, be warned about that too. Honestly, I dont know what to make of the whole experience. It was a horrible end to my dreams of parenting a natural born child of my own.
