Hi Ladies,
I had a m/c last november 2, 2006 and I was wondering if any of you have gone through the same problem? I was told by my OB to wait atleast two normal periods before I can start on trying agian. I am currently waiting for af #2 and then I can start trying again.
I don't get pregnant as fast as some of you do. I take long to get pregnant around 6 to 8 months. I was wondering if after a m/c are women most fertile? I was told from one of my friends and I hope it's my case.

Has any of you had this problem and got pregnant fast after their m/c, or how lon did it take to get pregnant again?

I need some advise, any are welcome! :)

Thanks

~Lili

Lili,

I had a m/c on March 16th. I got pregnant at the end of May- so 2 months. They say that after a D&C you are more fertile- I don't know if it is true. I am 38 & I didn't want to wait- emotionally I probably should have waited a little longer but with only 6 more weeks to go I am glad i didn't wait.

Be prepared when you do get pregnant again you will truley be on pins & needles throughout your pregnancy. I know it might be crazy but i have been consumed by fear this entire pregnancy. I just kept waiting for something to go wrong. It is so sad that I feel that way. I try to think possitive but it is so hard.

Good luck.
Sharon

Sharon,
Thank you for your comment. I did have a d&c done and I want to start trying right away as soon as my second af comes but like you say that you are scared about something similar happening. Thats is one point that I have right now, I am scared that it might happen again and try to think positive. I will have faith because I know that I will be bless with a healthy pregnancy.
We have to do our best to be positive and have faith.

So you are currently pregnant? how far along are you?

I really wish you the best and a healthy pregnancy.

My doctor told me that my chances for another m/c are the same as someone who has never had a m/c.
What do you think?

Thanks for everything,

~Lili

I had a miscarriage in April 06 and got pregnant again in July. Then I miscarried again in Oct and I just found out a few days ago I'm pregnant again. Both times I waited to have two normal periods before trying again. I have also heard you do get pregnant faster after having a miscarriage, but I don't know if it is true or not.

I wish you the best of luck.

Lili,

I am due on Feb. 20th. My m/c was because there was abnormality with the baby. I m/c at 16 weeks. I knew that the chances of that happening again were slim but I was just a nervous wreck. I will be so happy when the baby gets here :)

Sharon,
You give me hopes and I hope that I can get pregnant fast. I really wish you the best in your pregnancy and hope that everyhting turns out fine. wow you are almost due.
Do you have any other children? or is this your first one?

best wishes!

Tifany,
Thank you for responding back I really appreciate your feedback. But I am kinda fraid about having another m/c. I know that I have to be positive. I have a healthy 2 year old son and I really don't know the cause of my second m/c. Doctor told me that there is 1 out 4 m/c in every pregnancy so what happen to me she said that it's something natural and couldn't do any testing then.
I really wish you the best in your pregnancy and hope that this is a healthy pregnancy.
Do you have any other kids?
DO you think that maybe your second m/c might been because you didn't waited enough to start trying again? What did your doctor told you about your second m/c. Are you taking any special medicine?

Good luck and best wishes! Thank you for your support
and advise.

Lili,

From what I have read most women who have a miscarriage have a very high chance of having a healthy baby when they get pregnant again. I have known so many woman that have had a miscarriage and then gone on to have a healthy baby. I'm sure this will happen for you, especially since you already have a son.

I don't think my 2nd m/c was caused by getting pregnant to early after the 1st m/c. After my 2nd my Dr. had me come in and they ran lots of different blood tests on me. I don't even know what half of them were. Three of my tests were abnormal, which can all cause blood clots. This is most likely the reason for my miscarriages. I am now taking a drug called Lovenox, which is a shot I give myself daily. I actually just took my first one last night. It is really not that bad and will be worth it in the end. I do not have any children yet, but I'm positive that this pregnancy is going to work out.

I was feeling just like you after my miscarriages. I wanted to start trying right away and I was scared about the next time. It is so normal to feel that way. I don't think I will stop being scared until my baby is in my arms.

I hope you do get pregnant quickly and try not to worry to much. What is meant to be will be!

Good Luck!

Hi Lil,

Just want to let you know that I m/c in May 2005 and Aug 2005. It was the most difficult thing I'd been through. I conceived again in March 2006 and had a very difficult pregnancy, which miraculously resulted in a healthy chubby beautuful girl. M/c is emotionally draining and I think most of my difficulties with last pregnancy are due to the fear that constantly consumed me. But believe me, I had forgotten about that pain and anguish until I read through your mail. What I'm saying is keep trying, expect hardship but it will be over as soon as you are rewarded with the most precious gift you'll ever have, a baby of your own. Keep believing and it will happen for you.

Be blessed. Debie.

Bebie,
Thank You for your support and I will be trying for another baby. I know it will be hard but I will keep myself positive and try to take that fears away.
I am in my second af at the moment and after this I will be ready to start trying again. I am excited and have alot of faith that it will happen to me soon.

Do you think that trying right after a m/c there are more possibilities for another m/c or it just depends? I am glad that you had a healthy baby and that you kept trying!

Thanks for your info. :)

This is also a question that I have... I just miscarried last week and my doctor told me to wait 3 cycles before trying again and to wait a month before my husband and I would be able to do anything. Is this the same thing that you all were told?
I have hope because my best friend was pregnant in March 2006 and miscarried in May 2005. She is now 6 months pregnant and due in May. I have seen what she went though and she gives me hope that the next one will be fine...

mrscole,
well your friend had goodluck!
After I m/c my doctor told me to wait two normal periods and then start trying again. I m/c on November 2, 2006 and had my first regular af in december then january and now I am trying to concieve again.
It is hard and confusing right now because I have been taking my temps and first O had been confirm and now my temps are still way low and I don't know if I ovulated or not. Since my temps are very low. I was thinking if this was the cause of my d&c or something. Don't know what to think and hope that there is nothing wrong with me.

any suggestions?

thanks
and I am so sorry for your m/c I know how you are feeling and hope that we have better luck next time.
Is this your first?

Have a great day and keep the faith it will happen for us soon. :)

Lili
