1st IVF-ICSI Cycle Failed

Hello - I am new to this forum and just received the devatstating news last week that our first ICSI cycle had failed. I am 30 and my DH is 29. I have no reproductive problems but my DH has an extremely low sperm count and low motility. Our RE assured us that doing ICSI would be a slam dunk and we would be perfect candidates for a 1 embryo transfer. I had 9 eggs extracted of which 8 were mature and ICDI'd. None of the 8 fertilized so we weren't able to do the transfer. I heard that 70-85% of eggs fertilize with ICSI. We are devastated and confused as to how this happend. Has anyone else experienced the same thing? We are considering doing another cycle but not sure if we will get the same result. The lab used one of his frozen samples as he was really sick on antibiotics on the day of the retrieval.
