how long should we wait between ivf treatments? Is there a "medical standard" or does it depend on the person? after a failed attempt, we are hoping to try again soon but would like to know exactly how long we should wait. Thank you

I have my patients take birth conyrol pills for at least 1 pack prior to starting a cycle. By the time you have gone through an IVF cycle, and a packet of birth control pills after a negative pregnancy test, that is at least 2 months. By then the ovaries are quiet, and I do not have a problem starting a cycle at that time.
