I have painful welts from all the progesterone in oil shots I take everyday with my IVF cycle and now into pregnancy. They are very itchy and inflamed, and cortisone cream doesn't seem to help. I'm willing to endure this unless you think it is concerning. I read some other people talking about changing the type of oil the progesterone is in from olive to sesame or something, but I just ordered three new bottles of this stuff. Any adivce?

I prescribe progesterone in sesame oil. Many peop;e have a reaction to peanut oil., but sesame oil seems to not produce a problem.

Thanks, I'll look into it. For others who may have read the posts on this subject, I want to say that treating the welts with an ice pack makes a HUGE difference!!
