Dear Dr. Jacobs,
I had a 5 day frozen embyro transfer of one CGH tested normal hatching Day 6 blastocyst.
My first beta came back at only at 8dp5dt.
Is there any hope in this case? What could cause such a low starting beta? I see reference to "delayed implantation" in certain articles but could there have been such delayed implantation to cause such a low starting beta?

Although delayerd implantation may occurr, it is probably extremely rare. Don't rely on a single hCG determination. If it at least doubles in 48 hours, you are probably OK.

Thanks. Unfortunately, the HCG only increased to 11 today so it looks like this isn't headed anywhere good.
