Hi, I'd appreciate your help...
Could you share your opinion on long distance air travel during the early weeks of a pregnancy?
It's a normal pregnancy after IVF and will be at weeks 10 and 11, but my wife has a history of one miscarriage and 2 chemical pregnancies. We have been given conflicting advice.
The trip is to Alaska so I am not concerned about health conditions there, just the all day flying back and forth. (one leg is 6.5 hours). Thanks.

Once an IVF pregnancy is established, it is any other pregnancy. It is best, pregnant or not, to not sit for prolonged periods of time, without walking periodically. Sitting in an aircraft seat for several hours, without increasing blood circulation through the legs, from time to time, increases the risk of blood clots in the veins. Pregnancy increases the risk. Have a great trip.
