starting stims too late?

I am on the Long Lupron Overlap Protocol. Finished birth control pills last 3 days ago, and have been on Lupron .1cc for approx. 8 days now, and now just got my period. My suppression check, and therefore start of stims, isn't until April 14th, which would be cycle day 7. My clinic says this is not a problem. But don't I need to be on FSH meds earlier in my cycle to recruit more follicles? Is there a statistical difference in cycles where women start earlier versus later on FSH meds while on Long Lupron protocol? Help.

If you were not on Lupron, you would have already established a dominant follicle by day 5, and you would have fewer follicles develope. On a long Lupron protocol, that would not be an issue. I do not have statistics, but if you are on Lupron too long before starting a stimulation, your ovaries may not respond well.
Good luck.

I will be on Lupron a total of 14 days before starting stims. Does being on Lupron 14 days versus 10 or so lead to less follicles developing?

Two weeks is a bit long, in my opinion. You may have diminished response.
Good luck.
