As far as the standard semen analysis, with the exception of morphology, things are fine. Depending on the lab, and their assessment of morphology, there seems to be a moderate problem with morphology. If they did it right, morphology correlates with the ability of sperm to fertilize eggs. I do not use the MAR test, so I cannot comment. Sperm antibodies are rare, except after vasectomy. If we feel there is a specific need to look for sperm antibodies, we use the ImunoBead test. |
