Dr. Jacobs,
I've read on the Internet that an HCG Booster shot will leave your body in increments of 1,000 iu/ per day. I've also read that it will leave you system in halves each day. I know it depends on a woman's body and metabolism, but what would you say is average for a 2,500 iu booster shot to leave your system. I tested 4 days after the shot, and there was a dark positive on the home pregnancy test (7 days after 5dt). Also, would blood beta test also result in a potential false positive, or only urine tests?

The half life of hCG is about 36 hours. That is to say that about 36 hjours after a 10,000 injection, there will be 5,00 units left. Thirtysix hours later, there will be 2500 units left, and so on. Just cut the number in half every 36 hours. I do not know the sensitivity of hCG in urine of the home test you were using.
