Question about dh's sperm

Okay, I feel really silly, asking this question, as I am positive I know the answer. But my MIL is so determined, that we thought we would ask someone else.

My husband only produces from one side. One side, he had surgery on as a child due to a hydroceole (?). They obviously didnt fix it or screwed up as he had surgery in 2007 due to that same testicle floating in his abdomen.

We are pregnant with triplets via IVF w/ ICSI. My MIL is telling us that all 3 babies will be of the same gender because he only produces from one side. Is this true or a story as to why she is SO determined?

Thanks In Advance and I'm sorry for the "weird" question

Both yesticles produce both X chromosome and Y chromosome sperm. That is to say, both for boys and girls. If your husband has a testicle in his abdominal cavity, it must be removed. A testicle in the abdomenal cavity is at risk for an aggressive cancer.
