Pyrexia causes

I had IUI with stimulation and trigger.
i am currently 6 weeks pregnant (15 day post IUI beta 1257!!!) scan due in a week.

4 days post IUI i developed a sudden onset pyrexia of 38.5c, i had no symptoms of viral illness or any other symptoms. I had rigors but the fever lasted 12 hours then resolved.
I have not had a pyrexia since a child (33yrs now)

Could this have been caused by an immune response at time of implantation?
Is it possible to get implantation after 4 days? i have read research suggesting days 5-10 or indeed days 8-12.

I wondered if my hugely high beta could be due to early implantation ? (i had 3 mature follicles but only 1 ruptured prior to IUI and therefore multiple pregnancy canot be excluded)

THANKS !!

There is no immune response to implantation. I do not know why you had symptoms of a viral syndrome or other infection. In the natural state, fertilization is in the end of the tube near the ovary, and the embryo does not reach the uterine cavity for 4 to 5 days. Implantation takes place about a week after ovulation and fertilization of the egg.
Good luck.
