progesterone levels

Here's the scoop:

I had a FET 8-21-08. A 5-day blast transfer.

Prior to transfer and thru present I have been taking Endometrin vaginally three time daily.

On 8-21-08 my progesterone level was 8.8. I added micronized progesterone 200mg orally twice daily.

On 8-25-08 my progesterone is 11.8. Estrogen is 171.

Is this sufficient to support a pregnancy? Are there any options?

Vaginal administration of progesterone does not produce muck of a blood level, but does provide an excellent tissue level in the endometrium. The absorbtioin of oral progesterone is very unreliable, and I do not prescribe it.
Good luck.

Does this mean that even though my blood level is only 11.8 that I can possibly sustain a pregnancy based on the levels within the endometrium?

Is it not a lost cause?

If you are inserting adequate an progesterone preparation high in your vagina, you are getting a good tissue level in your endometrium, which is not reflected as a blood level. It is the endometrial tissue level which is important.
Good luck.
