Hello Dr Jacobs,
I have had a serious of progesterone blood tests taken over a period of months (on day 21) and my progesterone level has been different every month (when taken on day 21), they veried from 55, 85 to 53 nmol/L. Does a higher level mean I realised 2 eggs? Why would the levels vary if taken on the same day of my cycle?
Thank you in advance for you answer,

Progesterone, like all hormones, is not secreted in a steady flow. It is secreted in bursts, about every 90 minutes. As a result, there are spikes and troughs.
