Progesteron on my own?

Dr,
I was on vacation when i got BFp on tests. It was 12 DPO and I just decided to use prometrium vaginally once a day (night). I know that in IUI process progesteron is required to be taken the whole luteal phase up untill blood work 9which tells me that progesteron in this case is prescribed without blood work, and is not supposed to do harm). I has been taking progesteron for 5 days already. I will get my blood work today, but I guess my progesteron will not be "mine". I just wanted to know if taking progesteron on my "own" may really hurt baby? I will definitely consult my Ob Gyn whether to continue or drop. But I wanted some piece of mind to know that the progesteron did not harm fetus. We conceived naturally.

You have not done anything to cause harm. Progesterone is a specific chemical, which is a hormone. The source does not matter. Progesterone administered vaginally does produce a good tissue level in the uterus, where you want it, but does not produce much of a blood level.
Good luck.
