hi,
i have just become sexually active, just recently sleeping with someone for the first time. he has been cleared of any STI's, and so i was wondering if we need to use contraceptives? i have PCOS and do not get a period. i have only had about three natural periods over my lifetime, being many years ago. the other periods previously being induced by the oral contraceptive pill. i believe at last check my hormones were within normal limits, except for testosterone which was a little high. i am 31. i was under the impression that if i do not get a period, i could not fall pregnant. a doctor i saw was not sure. could you give me any insight into if i am fertile at all?
thanks,
beccybooo.

Most women who have polycystic ovaries do ovulate, occassionally. I have to advise you use contraceptive measures. Also, how long can you be sure your relationship will be monomous?
