PCOS and egg quality

I'm 31, have PCOS and type 2 diabetes based on 2-hr GTT. I'm thin and have been taking 2000 mg/day metformin for about 10 months.

IVF#2 resulted in twin pregnancy but, I lost it at 17 weeks, probably due to incompetent cervix.

For IVF#3, I used same protocol as IVF #2 (long lupron, with follstim only for stimming - total of 2000 IU over 11 days of stims). However, embryo quality was terrible. I was so dissappointed -- I thought that using the same protocol would yield similar results in terms of embryo quality.

My theory is that my IR has been worse recently than it was in IVF#2 (fasting in low 90s, compared to low 80s before). Since I'm already on 2000mg/day of glucophage, I was wondering if adding avandia might help me. Do you think it's worth trying?

Also, if I add avandia, how long will it take to have an impact?

thanks,
Cristina

I have no data regarding Avandia and polycystic ovaries or pregnancy. Both of your fasting blood sugar levels you related are just fine. I do not know why the difference in embryo quality between your 2 cycles.
Good luck.
