Hello,

I have PCOS and going to start IVF soon. But before that my doctor wants to put me on contraceptive pills for 3 months. I’m not sure if it’s going to help and couldn’t find any information. It seems appropriate to do it for a month since I have PCOS but what would be additional benefits for 3 months?

I really do not know which protocol your doctor is using. I generally have my patients on a single pack of pills prior to IVF. You will have to ask him/her the reason for the extra 2 months.
