I am wondering if Ovidrel always works to tirgger ovulation within 26-42 hours.

I had the shot Friday night and did IUI yesterday.

Today I find myself with lots of egg-white CM which would indicate I am about to ovulate. How could this be if I took the Ovidrel? Is it possible I didnt ovulate yesterday and the timing was off?

Thanks,Dr., for the clarification.

Cervical mucus is made as a respnse to high estrogen levels - not ovulation. Your estrogen levels were high at the time you injected your Ovidrel. Sometimes it takes a few days to reach the opening of your vadina.
Good luck.
