NK Cell Elevated

Hi Dr. Jacobs:
I had 3 prior failed IVF. After switching to another clinic and was tested for NK cell activity to be 26.6%. I was put on Himura injection every other week. In your experience,

1) How effective is Himura?
2) Once NK cell is suppressed, would that improve success rate?

I am currently 34 years old and had produced fair to good quality embryos in previous trials.

There have been data published, which imply that the natural killer cells measured in blood are different than those in the endometrium. Whatever is being measured is apparently not related to what goes on in the uterus. I am not familiar with Humira, by that name. If it is for intravenous immune globulin treatment, there are no corroborated data which imply it provides any benefit. It does require serum from 750 donors, so it carries the equivilent risk of 750 transfusions. Since there is no proven beenefit, I do not do it. There are too many other issues which go into failed IVF to try to treat "elevated" NK cells, whatever that may mean.
