Hello
I am about to undergo a short protocol using Puregon and Orgalutran and was just wondering what advantages this might have over a long protocol. I have had 2 long protocols using Gonal F and Synarel and a flare cycle using Gonal F and Synarel. Just wondering if this new protocol is being used for a reason or if it is just a preferential thing on behalf of my FS. Any suggestions greatly appreciated.

Without knowing the exact protocol, I cannot comment. I have 2 basic protocols I use for IVF. a long prptocol, starting Lupron a week before starting FSH, and a microdose flare protocol, using a much smaller dose of Lupron, starting the day I start FSH. The latter, Iuse for patients who I expect to respond poorly to the FSH. Good luck.
