Lupron before a hysteroscopic rectoscope?

Hi
My Re recommended lupron before a hysteroscopic rectoscope. I had a myomectomy and they did not recommend lupron for that surgery, why would lupron shot be necessary before a hysteroscopic rectoscope and what is the purpose of the lupron before the sugery.

would lupron shrink the fibroids and make it more difficult to see the fibroids during the hysteroscopic rectoscope?

Is there specialized training that my doctor needs in order to perform this procedure?

thanks for your help

Lupron may shrink the fibroids enough to make it easier to remove the fibroids.
Good luck.
