What does it mean if you have low progesterone levels after an IVF transfer?

My cousin was on 2 progesterone suppositories a day now moved to 6 a day.

When we remove eggs for IVF, we also remove a lot of the cells which make progesterone. It is standard to use a progesterone supplement.
