Dear Dr. Jacobs,

I am scheduled to have my right tube hydro removed by laparoscopic surgery later this month. How long so you recommend waiting after surgery to attempt conception either through natural means, or IUI/IVF?

If your tubes are dmaged, and you have hydrosalpinx, you will probably need IVF to achieve a successful pregnancy. You could probably start your IVF stimulation a month or 2 after your surgery.
