Dear Dr. Jacob,
My questions involve implantation. Specifically, how long can a blast survive in the uterus before it implants? I ask because I had four blasts transferred 14 days ago, had blood drawn on day 12 and the test came back negative. I am wondering, if a blast sort of hung around for a few days before implanting, maybe I would not get a positive result until a few days later. This is my 6th IVF and I have never tested this early, I'm holding onto hope. Of course I have lots of symptoms due to the estrogen and progesterone that I am taking. Thank you very much.

I do not think anyone knows for sure how long a blastocycst ca live after transfer, but it would only be a few days. I'm sorry, but if you have a negative pregnancy teat 2 weeks after blastocyst transfer, you are not pregnant.
