I just did my first round of IUI last Wednesday. The day before I had my U/S, uterine lining was about 9.5 and I had 3 large follicles (3.4cmX2.5cm)on my left ovary and 3 smaller on my right. Also had a HCG injection. (I was taking femara and gonal-f injectibles). Went in yesterday for a U/S, left ovary was huge with cysts, now four large ones (total size was 8cmX 4.6cm), right was not that bad. Also a little fluid. Nurse told me I have OHSS...I have had pain on my left side, bloating, tenderness and breathing problems today. Is this a bad sign?
(I need to add that I have endo. and PCOS) Also, I got my blood tests back today... Estridol 481 LH 5.8 Are these numbers good? I didn't think to ask when I talked to her. I go back Friday for another U/S.

Hyperstimulation symptoms and findings are at their worst about 7 days after injection of hCG. After that, they begin to resolve. If they start getting worse, again, that is both good news and bad news. The bad newa is worsening symptoms, for a while. The good news is that their is new hCG stimulating the cysts. That means a pregnancy. Good luck.
