My husband and are getting ready to start an IUI cycle. Our Dr has given us the choice to use Clomid or Gonal F. I have PCOS and have batted 50% with Gonal F. The first cycle i hyperstimulated and the second we conceived our son almost 4 years ago. Our question is this...does the medication make a difference in the quality of follicules that are produced?

In an evaluation of pregnancy rates in an academic practicewit 2 other RE's, we got a 17% pregnancy rate in 6 Clomid treatment cycles and 50% pregnancy rate in 4 FSH treatment cycles. I have not prescribed Clomid in over 15 years.
