There are data in the literature that increasing the FSH dose beyond 600 units a day does not increase pregnancy rates. Indeed, if your ovaries do not respond to 600 units a day, the increased dose is associated with a decreased pregnancy rate. In all probability the ovaries that do not respond have fewer eggs of lesser quality. The dose of FSH also depends on whether you are doing ovulation induction or IVF. |
