I had essure done 3 years ago I have now changed my mind and I would like to have another baby. I called my insurance company who advised me they would not pay because I had a tubal ligation. I was told that I would have to pay for everything on my own. I just turned 35 oct 23rd. Please help me understand why I have to get ivf instead of iui? Also, if you could let me know what insurance company out there would pay for ivf even if I had a tubal ligation or do I have to just suck it up and pay.

If your tubes are blocked, the sperm cannot reach the egg to fertilize it, and if the egg were to be fertilized, the embryo could not make it to the uterus. IUI is a substitute for intercourse. I cannot tell you where, in your state to look for IVF coverage. Good luck.
