Dear Dr. Jacobs,

I had a D&C on May 3rd for a missed miscarriage at 8 wks., 5 days. In your opinion, when my HCG goes to 0 and my period arrives, is it fine to start bcp's in preparation for a fresh cycle or are there any drawbacks to doing so?

I will not be having a transfer on the fresh cycle. The embryos will all be frozen.

Thanks for your opinion.

I know of no data to imply that you should not begin preparation forfrozen embryo transfer after you hCG is negative and you have a menstrual flow.
