Doctor,

At my ER yesterday some fluid was found in my uterus. How common is this, what causes it and is it detrimental to embryos?

I usually do not see fluid in the uterus, except during a menstrual flow. I would be more concerned if you have fluid in your uterus during embryo transfer, but it could be removed before embryos are transferred.
