Estradiol after Clomid cd 3-7

I was prescribed Estradiol 3mg twice a day on cd 8-11 1/2 after a round of 50mg clomid cd 3-7 can you tell me the benefit of using Estradiol on these days, will it help trigger ovulation? Should i get an HCG shot?

There is no benefit to adding estrogen to Clomid treatment. Clomid blocks estrogen at the cellular level. Adding estrogen raises blood level, but the tissue cannot respond. For more information about Clomid, I invite you to see our web page, <www.texasfertility.com>.
