Crinone and other vaginal progesterone preparations go directly to the endometrium, and produce a good tissue level, without a significant increase in blood level of progesterone. Absorb tion and blood level of oral progesterone products is very unpredictable and not very reliable. Taken orally, you need a significant blood level of progesterone to get an adequate tissue level. After all, you really need the progesterone in the endometrium, not the blood. |
