Dr Jacobs

Last week I found out I am pregnant. I had b/w on Tuesday and my hcg levels were 611. Two days later they were 1661 and prog 108. 72 hours later they were 5321 and prog 106. Now I have bad flu and will only see the doctor tommorow.
How can this affect a growing baby? I conceived on 12 March, are these b/w numbers consistant / good for date of conception? Should I be concerned that progesterone slightly declined in last test? My next test is tomorrow as well.

I do not know if the virus you have will cross the placenta, so I cannot answer your question about the flu, and your pregnancy. I think it will be OK. As long as progesterone is at least 20 ng/ml, I don not worry about the number.
Good luck.

Thanks doctor. I was given an antibiotic and told it is safe to use, even this early I still worry though. My new b/w numbers are hcg 16255 and prog76. Does eating before blood draw affect b/w results (at least the prog)? When can we expect to see heartbeat 6 weeks from LMP or 6 from conception?

No, eating will not effect the test.
Good luck.
