My donor was having trouble from the beginning. When she started her period she went into the clinic on cd2 for a u/s and bloodwork, her E2 came back high, so they put her meds for 5 days to lower the E2, then she started her stims.

After 5 days of stims her E2 began to fall, they upped her meds to try and get her E2 back up but the attempt failed.

My questions are. Should we have started the cycle with the high E2 to begin with. Could the meds they gave her to lower the E2 effect the cycle or the egg quality? Or did she just have bad eggs to start off with.

I really don't think that I need to use her as a donor again. Thanks for your help

Since I have not evaluated your egg donor, I cannot provide a meaningful answer to your question. Frequently, when estradiol is high on cycle day 2 to 3, there is poor ovarian reserve. Yes, that can happen in younger women, too. I do not know if you need a new egg donor.
