Does high E2 levels have a negative effect on egg quality?

Hello there! This is my 3rd IVF cycle. The first was successful and the second was not. I went for bw/ultrasound on day 4 of stimulation and my E2 levels were very high - 415 when they should be about 100. I also had 38 follicles of which 2 were measurable. I am only on 150 gonal F/day and using .05 lupron once a day. My question is, how will this high of an estrogen level affect my egg quality? Am I at high risk of hyperstimulating? Any thought are appreciated!!

If you have too many follicles and estradiollevels are too high, you are at risk for a hyperstimulation syndrome. I do not have reliable data on the effect of high estrogen levels on egg quality, but we get the impression that if estrogen levels rise too fast, it may have an adverse effect on the eggs. In actuality, we see the very rapid rise in patients with polycystic ovaries, and they tend to have less good egg quality, anyway.
Good luck.
