difference in pg rate and live birth rate

Hi,
I had another question.. I know there is a difference in the pregnancy rate and the live birth rate for IVF. Just curious as to some reasons a positive pregnancy test would result in an ended pg.

Because we test for pregnancy so early in our IVF patients, we detect very early conceptions that would be missed, otherwise. They are not healthy pregnancies, and are lost before there is a clinical pregnancy. We also have miscarriages, just like a pregnancy achieved any other way.
