Hi Dr Jacobs
I have been trying to conceive and its been less than 2yrs now. My GP gave me some pills called Norethisterone he said they wud regulate my periods. When i went back to him after some time he told me that they wer sort of like family planning pills and i wudnt have been able to conceive. The periods did regulate for some time and the last was in June. I havent had a period in July and now August.
Do you think the pills helped in any way?and what are they supposed to do.

Norethisterone is a very potent synthetic progesterone. It will prevent pregnancy, while you are taking it. Please go to a Reproductive Endocrinologist for assistance in becoming pregnant. An OB-GYN generalist is not a Reproductive Endocrinologist, and does not have adequate training to manage infertility. For more information I invite you to see our web site at <www.texasfertility.com>. Good luck.
