Doctor,
I am amenoreic (hypotolamic amenorhea). I was prescribed Clomid challenge test with 100mg daily and Day 3 and Day 10 FSH, E2, LH check. My concern is that I have a 2cm complex cyst with no vascularity around it which reduces very slowly (2-4 mm in 6 weeks). I also have low estrogens (mestruate only with estrogen-progetseron therapy). My question is can I do the test with only 50mg of Clomid? I am concerned that no U/S monitoring will be done and that I have that complex cyst, but I also would like to take the test. Will 50mg of Clomid severly distort the results?

If you truly have amenorrhea on a hypothalamic basis, I would not expect you to have any response from your ovaries, if you use Clomid.
