Dear Sir,
I have been doing a lot of research and everything I read suggests that a couples chances of success with IVF go down if they do not get pregnant within the first 3 tries. Is this true? What causes this? And is this true of IVF/ICSI as well? Thank you for your patience I know I ask a lot of questions.

Your chances of success are largely dependent on the program doing your IVF. If we look at IVF data, About 80% of IVF pregnancies occurr in the first 3 cycles. If we look at data for all treatment modalities, if a given protocol does not work in the first 4 cycles, it probably will not.
