I am early in my pregnancy and for the last week or so have had brown spotting that has gotten heavier. It first started as small spots and now is a little heavier requiring a pad. My period was due around this time and not sure what to make of it. I have had 2 miscarriages in the past and want to know if this is a bad sign. No red blood, just dark brown. Thanks.

Brown blood is old blood. It had collected in your vagina. The source may not be the pregnancy. It could be the cervix. If you are not cramping, that is encouraging. You do need to talk to your physician. He/she will probably want to see you.

it could also be what they call a subcortal blled i had one theres no harm to you or the baby. Talk to re for u/s
