Hi Dr., my partner and I are wanting to conceive this year. we want to start trying in a couple months. I found out about 2 years ago that I have high level of ANA (1:64) present in my blood. This led me to be misdiagnosed with lupus, but after seeing another Dr 6 weeks after the misdiagnosis, and nearly 2 years later, i have still not been diagnosed with Lupus (thank goodness).
the specialist is now testing me to see if I have Antiphospholipid present in my blood, which he states is a protein that could be presnt in my blood, which can cause miscarriages.
I am still awaiting these results.
Provided the results are negative, what are my chances of conception given the ANA factor present in my blood?
and is there anything i can do to help it?
thanks very much, i am trying to educated myself on any and everything possible prior to conception and pregnancy.
Meghan

Anti nuclear antibodies do not create problems for conception. If you do have difficulties achieveing a pregnancy, please see a Reproductive Endocrinologist.
Good luck.
