Dear Dr Jacobs,
I am pregnant and at 16dpo, I am anxious as hell and am finding it worse at night - hard to sleep. I changed from PIO to suppositories just in the last two days and have noticed that I have a throbbing, spasming sensation in my cervical area. Last night it was very bad, for about 3 hours after inserting the suppository and I was up and down to the toilet 4 times within 3 hours - I do not think my anxiety is helping but it does seem that maybe the suppositories are not agreeing with me.
So now I am very worried about this having an adverse affect on my pregnancy and maybe opening my cervix. What do you think and suggest?
Thanks.

I do not know if it is necessary, but I keep my patients on both progesterone vaginal capsules and Progesteron in oil until the placenta is making enoufg hormone, at about 8 to 10 weeks of pregnancy. I do not know what your symptoms mean. You might ask your RE to check you. Good luck.
