Outpatient procedure?

Hello all,

I just started down the possible fertility treatment. I have PCO and in July I had a hysteroscopy with D&C during which uterine polyps were removed. At that time, I was diagnosed with complex endometrial hyperplasia without atypia.

So now the reproductive endocrinologist wants to do a follow-up hysteroscopy with D&C, as well as a laparoscopy to check things out and remove a cyst. I have a couple of questions:

*) what are the chances that the hyperplasia can heal with proper progesterone treatment? Is 4-5 months a long enough time to see the effect of any treatment?

*) my fertility doc says that he will only start fertility treatments if there is no trace of hyperplasia of any type. Is this (strict) requirement necessary?

*) is such a surgery done on an outpatient basis? What are my chances of being granted a one night's hospital stay? After the July surgery I had some significant respiratory distress, and it took me hours to get my breathing back under control. If we need to somehow "apply" for the hospital stay, is that something that the fertility doc needs to push through?

Thanks to all!
