I was diagnosed with PCOS like symptoms... my insulin was high so I was put on metformin... I have been on metformin for 7 weeks..... Before I was diagnosed I got pretty regular periods... usually I was cycling about 23 to 28 days. Now that I have been on Metformin for 7 weeks I am 14 days late on my cycle and that is really strange to me..... I am wondering if this is normal since everything I have read metformin is supposed to regulate periods..... could I be pregnant? I am lost and a little concerned I guess. I can't get into my doctor till next week and can't stop thinking about it.... I want to go and get a pregnancy test but honestly and emotionally I don't think I could take the devastation if I am not pregnant nor the worrying.... anyone else experience this?
