Got my BFP through IVF after the 1st try doing IVF.

I tried 8 IUI's w/o sucess and finally got the news this week that I am Pg after my 1st IVF.

Well, I'm not sure. I'm so confused right now. My AF was due 10/10 and is now late. I've taken about 5 pg tests and were all BFN. My AF is never late. So i'm either wating for a BFP or waiting for my AF to come so we can try again! I'm just so worried that i'm going to be let down! What stage are you in? Are you trying anything special DianaG? I posted my whole story on a board called "Late/Negative Test..confused..HELP!" if you'd want to read. I need any advice i can get!

Dear Brenna,

Please try and calm down a little you are not doing any good working yourself up, being stresses could be the reason your AF hasnt arrived yet. Were you taking some medication or Ovulex on this cycle? Did you maybe do something different this month that could be delaying your AF. It could be a BFP too maybe that you had a late sticker and its not showing yet. Please dont panic I am sure that you are going to get your BFP soon. If not this month next month could be the lucky one. Please dont lose faith all good things come to those who wait! and the Lord will bless you when the time is right with your little angel. BABY DUST TO YOU!!

I was on Ovylex and I stopped them after ovulation as they say that they are not good for the embie. If I dont BFP this month then I will start them again on AF day until ovulation again. I will try Ovulex for 3 months if I dont get my BFP then i will do my last IVF try. If again I dont get my BFP. I will come in terms with the fact that I will not be having a baby. Thats life........ we are so blessed with so many things that if Im not blessed with a baby of my own.... I will just have to adopt a litle angel.

Thats looking to far.... I am focused on what I am doing now and my aim is to BFP! The Lord must give us strength and the courage to face whatever is in store for us.

Hello girls,
Well I did take ovulex last year for about 2 months and unfortunatly everything went wrong because I had a missed miscarriage at 9 weeks. I always blame ovulex for my m/s but of course it might of been just my destiny.
I am now pregnant and due 12-2, as you can see I am very happy and can't wait to meet my lil one.
This last time I didn't take anything except. Taking my temps. every morning and I bought the fertility monitor thanks to the recommendation of my friend Renee it did work the first time I used it. I found out that I ovulated 3 days after my period was gone so it was a surprise.
I also took green tea and some robitussin and thats about it. At my 2ww I did some yoga which help me relax. So basically that was all I did and got that bfp. I notice the more you stress and think about getting pregnant the less it can happen so try to relax and be positive and it will work out.

Hey girls! I got by BFP while taking Ovulex, green tea and 81mg of asprin. It took 3mos of Ovulex and my husband was taking Ambroz(sp). We tried for over three years to get pregnant and it finally happend for us. Another thing that helped in my opinion is, praise God. Let him know that you're ready to have a baby and when HE is ready for you to have a baby, you will become pregnant. Leave it all in Gods hands and he will bless you with a baby you so desire:) Don't stress and put it ALL in Gods hands. The Lord will take care of the rest. You are right... If its Gods will he will give you your angel and its no use getting all worked yp and stressed, when the time is right it will happen.

Hi everyone,

Just wanted to share how I got my BFP after 6 failed IUI's my infertility spec. told me the best chance for success was to have IVF done and sure enough after the first try it worked!

I was on Follistim and Menopur..... for all you ladies that are 40 and older never give up hope ...My son's due date is December 7th..I thank god for him everyday!

Alexa thank you so much for sharing with us. I am 43 and have been TTC for 10 years. I tried 3 times by IVF but everytime something went wrong. First time I got allergic to the Menogon. only 1 egg and we did IUI but BFN. Second try with other meds all looking good 6 eggs. put to sleep for er but ovaries hidden behind uterus and couldnt get to them again IUI. BFN. 3rd try and doc couldnt put the catherter to retrieve eggs as a cyst had grown at the entrance of uterus and had to have D&C to remove it. Since then I have sort of lost hope and am scared to try again. The whole process of injections morning/night is very stressful and just face the whole procedure again. If by three months I am not preg with Ovulex and monitoring ov then I am thinking of maybe doing last IVF. Its also very costly and after all these procedures we were a little broke.

Hi Diana,

Thank you for sharing your story, I tried so many iui's and for me they just didn't work, What meds were you on during these cycles, I thought Follistim and Menopur worked well I had a total of 10 eggs and 10 were retrieved..I got a call the day before telling me that there were only 3 ebryos left that survived, they implanted all of them...I am 41 and will be 42 shortly after the baby is born..Just don't give up.....

Does your insurance cover you for Medications???

On the first cycle I was on Menogon/Pregnyl which I got an allergic reaction too as it is produces from human urine (ladies that are menopausal actually) and that is why normally ladies get an allergy cause they dont manage to extract only the hormone. Second and third time I was on merional/cetrotide which was a good cycle with 6 eggs.

Our goverment medical aid here covers only the medication and not the doctors and the whole procedure. I suppose its a bit of a help.

Hey everybody i'm so happy for those of who who have the BFP! It gives me hope!!

DIANAG- Don't give up. I reccommend taking a look at www.tryingtoconceive.com and email "momma kath" your situation. She was a BIG help for me! BABY DUST TO YOU!! :D :D :D ..as for me, i'm near a week late and still BFN. I'm not stressed about it anymore, im relaxed but still wondering whats going on. I'm going to take another test in a few days. One thing thats weird (that i didnt have with my other PG) is that last night i was smelling things my DH couldnt smell and this morning i said "OMG whats that smell?" of course DH couldnt smell it but it happend to be our dog went to the bathroom outside and i could smell it inside! And we have 2 cats... so i've been carrying around an aerisol can! :D i'm also tired, bloated and breasts are bigger.
