Starting PIO injections this evening and I am terrified. Have heard nothing but horror stories...
Any tricks of the trade anyone can share with me on how to make them more comforting..

Hi!
I have been doing PIO injections since my transfer at the beginning of Oct. Have someone else give you the injection! I find it best if I am laying down and talking my hubby while he gives the shot. He does not tell me when he is going to give it so I don't tense up (He gives them to me in my behind). Do not ice the area! Have the person who gives the injection rub (massage) the injection site following giving the injection for 30 seconds or so. Don't be scared if your injection site is sore for a couple days and always alternate the injection site.
