I am about to be 32 and I have a 12 year old son. He is an only child and I am divorced from his father. His dad remarried and has a new baby but they live 2000 miles away. I am engaged and want to have a baby before I reach my mid 30's. I had a tubal 8+ years ago. I don't have the money to have it reversed or treatments, so I want to know what my chances are of getting pregnant. Are there any tricks? I wish I never did this but its way too late for that. I feel like a misfit. I can't be a Mom when I really want to be. :(

Dindy, Welcome to the boards. Many of us (including myself) has made the tubal decision too early in life. I had mine at 25 and am now Almost 6 weeks pregnant. It has been 3.5 years of trying for me but a friend of mine got pregnant at the first try. The Chances of getting pregnant are different for everyone. Look in your community and speak with a reputable Fertility specialist. He may be able to guide you to where you can get some financial support. There is also a group (can't remember the name) that is in the "Conceive" magazine that helps those who can't afford IVF. Good Luck!!
