Hello -
I will be starting IVF injections within the next week, and I still have so many questions and concerns.
When I found this forum last night, I felt so much relief in knowing that there are women out there who are experiencing the same emotions. My husband has been great, but this process does make me feel more lonely than ever.
I received all my injections/drugs last night and would like to know what to expect in the next couple of weeks....such as side effects from the hormones, ultrasounds, giving injections, etc....
This is a hard and personal subject and it is so nice to know that there are people who are willing to share their experiences

Hi,
I did my first IVF last month. Unfortunately it didn't work so we are gearing up for IVF #2 sometime the middle of May. I started with Lupron and Aygestin for 2 weeks. I didn't have any headaches as a lot of people did. I just was very tired and moody. Slept a lot and really took it easy. Lupron shots didn't hurt a bit. Then I did 10 days of stims (Repronex and Gonalf). Shots hurt a bit more. They burned as they were going in and I had bruising and sore legs. Next time, I'll ice more before and after the shot. After ER I started progesterone suppositories. I took them until I got AF. The worst side effect I got from this whole process was the day or two after I stopped taking the progesterone. I think my body was adjusting to not having all of these hormones in my body and I was moody as anything. But it passed.
Don't worry. The process isn't as hard as I thought it would be. Yes, it's emotional and tiring but you can do it. We're here for you!
