Wow, I am racking my brain to remember how my progesterone oil shots went. I could have sworn they were done in increments of 50. 50 what, (mg. or cc's) I couldn't tell you now. It's been 7 years. But I remember it doubling cause I was cramping and my level went from 19 to 8.5.

Thanks for the info. My RE hasn't mentioned the progesterone yet, so I don't know if it will be shots or suppositories. I hope it's the later.

I am on b/c now, should start Lupron in a couple of weeks. I go tomorrow for a sonohysterogram (sp?). I think it is to check my uterus lining.

SMS, I just had a sonohystogram last week. It went fine after all my worrying about it. They do it to check for abnormalities in the uterus... fibroids, polyps, etc.
If they haven't told you to and if it's still ok to take some over-the-counter- meds, I would strongly recommend a few advil an hour before the procedure.

Meredith has faith - it would be mg not cc's. Way too much at 50 cc - no butt could hold that. Take care all.

Hey on my shots I was wrong. It is cc's I take 2cc's with a 22 gauge syringe. It is a lot. The syringe can hold up to 3 cc's. The lupron is the one with I.U.'s. That is the small insuline syringe. My brian just isn't working quickly the last feww days. It better be a pregnancy sign. I hope

Don't worry about it Paige. I did the same thing with mgs. or cc's. I couldn't remember and as 44 corrected me, that many cc's wouldn't fit into someone's butt, not even my big butt!

Thank you. I have had a scattered brian for a few days now it really sucks. I can't remeber anything and I have no energy. Just breast pain and headaches. This can't all be from progesterone? Thanks for the luck. I am leaving now my appt is at 8:30 so I will be back on at 5:00. Seems so long to wait! :)

I was doing only 1/2 a CC, but was spotting, so they increased me to 1 CC. I think it is like 50 i.u/cc? Does that make sense?
We seem to be getting better, the last 2 haven't hurt. Most of them don't, just now and then it gets me just right!

That sounds right to me. I know they have me high because I am already naturally low.

Hi, the progesteron really affected my memory. I felt like I was in a mental cloud all day. Things that seemed so easy before to remember were lost in the fog somewhere.

Yeah I think that's supposed to happen plus your supposed to get real tired. What is frustrating me is I think I am allergic to the sesmae prog oil because my skin itches so bad all of the time. Do you have that problem?

Paige, my skin drives me crazy with the shots. They didnt think it was an allergic reaction but a side effect of the extra hormones. I use bottles of lotion and hydrocortisone lotion during the shots. The last ivf I got an area on my instep that would itch so bad it kept me up at night. I wanted to scream. I would soak my feet in oatmeal lotion and put on socks as long as I could take them in bed. Take Care. p.s. with my first pg it got really bad at week 4 and 5 and then seemed to get better. Yeah I just talked to a doctor and your right. It is because they have me on a lot of progesterone.

I got a call from the pharmacy today that my medications have been ordered for me to start the IVF process on 5/24. All 9 of them.... I go for 3 hour IVF training (with my dh) on 5/21. I did find out that I will be doing the wonderful progesterone oil shots. My friend is a nurse and she said she will help out, but prefers the upper arm to the butt. Has anyone had them in the arm?? That's kind of scary to me. I am not a meaty person, but certainly have more meat in the butt than the arm. Oh well, I will have to trust her, since my dh is not going to be able to do the IM shots.

Oh I read your post. don't do them in your arm the needle is way too big and your chances of finding your muscle is so much less. They're so many more arteries to hit also. I can't believe someone suggested that. Remeber where ever you put it it probly will be sore for a day or two. Can you imagine not being able to raise your arm!!! Sorry if I'm harsh I just don't want you to have a bad experience. I would definitley only do your butt. Good luck keep me posted!! :)
